What is Readilase

What is Readilase?

Readilase is based on OaAEP1, an asparaginyl endopeptidase isolated from plant Oldenlandia affinis, known for its lightning-fast catalytic speed, an exception amongst naturally occurring ligases. Through meticulous protein engineering and further product development, we have developed an easy-to-use recombinant ligase, designed to be ever-ready for your ligation needs.

A short recognition sequence for easy incorporation

Readilase specifically recognizes a short C-terminal tripeptide sequence motif Asn-Xaa-Xaa (e.g. Asn-Gly-Leu), to form a covalent link with compounds bearing an N-terminal dipeptide nucleophile sequence Xaa-Leu (e.g. Gly-Leu).

Products and Services

Products & Services

Using Readilase can be as simple as purchasing our enzyme and incorporating the recognition sequences into the biological compounds you work with. We offer 50 µg and 100 µg vials of R&D-grade Readilase, as well as made-to-order GMP-grade Readilase.

Want to engage our services instead? You could choose to work closely with us to achieve your ligation goals! We place emphasis on our established service, where our service team have experts in the realm of enzymology, protein/peptide engineering, drug delivery, and clinical evaluations. Through our host of experts, we aim to deliver high quality work to our clients via support in every stage of the product/platform development process, including design of substrates/linkers, optimization of linkage efficiency, and even evaluation of therapeutic efficacy.

Thinking of ligating your biological compounds in a commercial setting? Contact us for an introductory call for us to better understand the intricacies of your project. We can collaborate via a material transfer agreement (MTA) for an evaluation trial. Upon successful evaluation, whether we become partners through an official collaboration via licensing (with or without co-development), or act as your development service provider through engagement of our services, we utilize the Readilase technology to eventually achieve your product/platform development goals.
