Professor Jianzhu Chen is Professor of Biology at both the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Department of Biology. He holds a B.S. degree from Wuhan University in China and a Ph.D. degree from Stanford University.
After completing his doctoral studies, Prof. Chen worked as a postdoctoral fellow and instructor at Harvard Medical School before joining the faculty at MIT. His research is focused on gaining a comprehensive understanding of the immune system and its application in disease treatment and intervention, including cancer, infectious diseases, and metabolic diseases.
