About the Role
Carcell Biopharma is an EVX company that develops next generation cell and gene therapies. Co-founded by biotech veterans and backed by elite VCs, Carcell operates with a hub-and-spoke model to accelerate the development of cell and gene therapies from the bench to bedside. Carcell has assembled a top-notch R&D team in Singapore, and is establishing a state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing center in Shanghai. Carcell's two lead platforms are around engineered red blood cells (eRBC) for immuno-modulation, and amino acid delivery using lipid nanoparticles.

Responsibilities
· Support new R&D project in the process of product development.
· Demonstrate strong passion, self-motivation, and a hardworking attitude for research.
· A self-starter and in learning new skills and techniques.
· Able to perform basic biochemistry experiments.
· Communicate data and reports on project status.
· Assist in non-routine lab duties and administrative activities including, and not limited to procurement, vendor assessment, Handling chemical safety and regulation issues, equipment maintenance, etc.
Requirements
· The successful candidate will have a diploma in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related disciplines.
· Flexible, adaptable and adjusts quickly to changing strategic and tactical priorities.
· Possess good communication and documentation skills.
· An ability to work well with interdisciplinary colleagues.
· Provide administrative duties such as maintenance of safety documents and housekeep of wet laboratory.
· Prior experience in general laboratory techniques that include bacterial culture and transformation, molecular assays (such as qPCR, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, and flow cytometry), nucleic acid extraction, purification and characterization (DNA & RNA) is a plus.
